But Dulquer was mulling things over and taking his own sweet time to move into Bollywood, and we don't really blame him for that, considering how other South stars fared in the past in Bollywood.
Actor Dulquer Salmaan is all set to enter Bollywood through Ronnie Screwvala's yet-untitled production. As per a source close to the project, it was revealed, "It's a light-hearted comedy that will see Dulquer and Irrfan as friends on a road trip". This will also be the directorial debut of Akarsh who has co-written the script with Hussain Dalal, the dialogue writer for Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and 2 States. "Abhishek Bachchan, who was first approached for Dulquer's role, has to opt out due to his prior commitment to JP Dutta's comeback film Paltan". According to recent reports, the film is scheduled to go on floor by the end of August and it will extensively be shot in Kerala. All in all, Mammootty could not find much success in Bollywood.
The film is expected to release later this year in Malayalam and Tamil.
