After re-joining United from Juventus for an initial fee of £89.3 million in what was then a world record move, Pogba went on to make 51 appearances in his first season back at the club, helping Jose Mourinho's side to win the Europa League and the FA Cup. A good season for me? We're here to do great things.

'We deserve a rest tomorrow, ' Mourinho told BT Sport. He was someone that was there, his size is a problem to the opposition, it's also something which helps you, Manchester United you've seen many times now have used him a more advanced role. No, I'm just myself. I'm 24 now but when you are on the pitch there is no age.

"Bringing Marouane Fellaini was part of what I hoped he would come to United and play in different games".

"When I was young I was doing the same".

"He managed nine a year ago and hit the crossbar and post plenty of times as well, so he can bring the goals that might turn draws into wins and have a real effect on the team".

Flashy players such as the Manchester United midfielder tend to have that selfish streak in them and while they look like geniuses when pieces of individual brilliance come off, nothing frustrates fans more than when opportunities are squandered due to a refusal to play in a teammate.

Pogba who enjoyed the pre-season break with Romelu Lukaku in America explained that he took the Belgian star to dinner where he convinced him to snub a move to Chelsea.

"I had to work for it but the finale is that he's here, he's with us and he's banging in goals". [Nemanja] Matic, you can see he's been working hard. "If we're being brutally honest, his decision-making out there in the first half hasn't been good".

"We [Lukaku and Pogba] talked about it last season, wondering if one day we would play together and it's happened this season so I'm very happy. We all are. We have a good relationship".

Manchester City, along with United, are the two early favourites for the Premier League title given the money they have spent on strengthening their squads so far this summer.
