Avengers 4 begins production today

Avengers 4 Begins Shooting, First Set Photo Arrives

Though we are still months away from the release of Avengers: Infinity War, directors Anthony and Joe Russo and Marvel are already working on the now untitled Avengers 4.

Production on Avengers 4 is expected to last until this December. The news comes after Josh Brolin announced that he was heading back to Atlanta to shoot some more footage of Thanos and after Joe Russo announced at San Diego Comic-Con that principle photography was to begin around this time. Some think the four fingers are simply an indication that the fourth Avengers film has started filming. Avengers 4 was previously titled Avengers: Infinity War - Part 2, but whether or not Marvel slightly changed their plans for the fourth film or will draw on something else remains to be seen. The Russo brothers, who are at the helm of this project, posted an image on their official social media account, signalling the launch of their film. However, now they're the top dogs at Marvel, after the awesome one-two punch of CAPTAIN AMERICA: WINTER SOLDIER and CIVIL WAR, and are now directing the upcoming two-part AVENGERS films. Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Scarlett Johannsson have all confirmed that they'd return for the project. It follows Avengers: Infinity War, which hits theaters on May 4, 2018. The movie is still now untitled, but it will hit theaters a year after Infinity War to cap off the Marvel Cinematic Universe's "Phase Three", aka the MCU as we know it.
