Android O would be the last major patch for the OnePlus 3/3T

OnePlus Confirms Android O is Last Big Update for OP3/3T ...

OnePlus won't be updating the OP 3/3T after Android O, Open Beta also ending

So today the Chinese company's Head of Product, Oliver Z., has made a decision to answer a few questions on the matter.

According to a Q&A shared by the company on its official forum, OnePlus made it clear that it won't push any major software update for the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T after Android O. OnePlus's Community Manager and Head of Product answered several OnePlus 3/3T software related questions, during the Q&A they revealed the news.

Therefore, it's safe to assume that the new firmware will hit the OnePlus 3 and 3T before the year end.

When OnePlus officially announced that OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X were not getting the Nougat update, the fans were left disappointed. It also talks about a few other things, like feature differences to expect between the 3/3T and OnePlus 5 when OxygenOS 4.5 lands, why the OP5 has seen so many updates recently, an explanation for holding back features from the Open Beta Program, and a short terms schedule for the 4.5 update.

"We'll continue to release security patch updates for the foreseeable future, and offer support for individual application updates", said Oliver Z.

This is why it doesn't really come as a surprise to learn that OnePlus will be done with the OnePlus 3 and 3T after the Android O update. Many wondered would OnePlus follow the same footsteps for OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T. Oliver confirmed that OnePlus will use the program exclusively for the OnePlus 5. The company has managed to improve its standing via the regular updates and the BETA programmes that have constantly brought new features and improved the pain points of the device.

So, how much better do you feel now?
