Sonic and his two original super friends run, jump and fly through a colorful fantasy world, having themselves a hell of a time. That is exactly two weeks after it releases on PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
Sonic Mania's PC release has been pushed back from 15th August to 29th August, Sega announced in a livestream today. Sega made a decision to delay this release in order to better optimize the game. However, people who have pre-ordered the game will receive another Sonic the Hedgehog game to make up for the game's unexpected tardiness.
The event in question relates to an early unlicensed stream of Sonic Mania, which revealed several unannounced zones and features which had been kept secret by the development team. At the same time, the game is being delayed for a good reason.
In other Sonic Mania news, Sega recently released a video of the game's intro. The game is scheduled to launch later this month.
New in this Sonic title is the addition of a new movement skill called the "drop dash" that allows players to instantly accelerate upon landing on surfaces.
Sonic Mania is the Sonic you remember: warm, friendly, definitely not doing any weird sex things. Let us know in the comments.
