With only the PGA Championship left on the slate, he has already become just the second player since 1934 to win at least three major championships before turning 24 years old while joining the heralded Jack Nicklaus.

While the pressure will mount in the coming weeks, and even more the longer it takes for him to win the PGA, Spieth isn't going to worry about it at the moment. He could go really big.

Nine-time major champion Player completed his Grand Slam at the 1965 U.S. Open, defeating Kel Nagle in a play-off at Bellerive.

"I'm going to thoroughly enjoy this". 1996 I missed out with another very narrow loss (at The Open).

After a terrible start, Rory McIlroy played some outstanding golf but ultimately left himself with too much to do to catch eventual Open victor Jordan Spieth.

Spieth recovered from losing a three-shot lead inside four holes and being one behind with five to go to win by three from Matt Kuchar at Royal Birkdale. "He certainly played enough good golf to have competed and won the tournament".

The American admitted the incident at the 13th, where he had to take an unplayable lie and eventually ended up playing his third from the practice ground on his way to a bogey, brought back bad memories of the Masters in 2016 when he squandered a winning position to allow Danny Willett to seize victory.

Spieth will get his first opportunity to add the USPGA Championship title to his haul, and complete the full set of majors, at Quail Hollow, starting on August 10. Sadly, Hogan was denied a shot at winning all four majors in one year, due to mandatory Open qualifying clashing with that year's US PGA Championship.

"I felt like I had a chance to get in a few shots better than I did".

"It's easier said than done but Rory, Jordan, they never cease to amaze me". Tiger Woods was 24 when he did it at the 2000 Open.

And this is as much of a high as I've ever experienced in my golfing life.
