The best playback singer award was grabbed by Amit Mishra for Bulleya from "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil".
Katrina Kaif gave away the award to Shahid at the ceremony in NY, while Varun Dhawan announced Alia as the Best Actor - Female at the event, held at the Metlife Stadium. The event this year will be hosted by director Karan Johar and will see performances by Salman Khan, Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan, including others.
