Robbie Daymond will voice Parker and Spider-Man in the new series, while Max Mittelman will portray his friend-turned-rival Harry Osborn. The laughably bad Spider-Man 3 killed off the initial Tobey Maguire franchise, and its subsequent (and rapid) reboot failed to capture the imagination of audiences and critics alike. Homecoming is a real joy to experience.
Starring one of the world's most iconic Super Heroes, Spider-Man features the acrobatic abilities, improvisation and web-slinging that the wall-crawler is famous for, while also introducing elements never-before-seen in a Spider-Man game. Marissa Tomei (The Big Short) makes for a brilliant Aunt May, updating the role very well, and its good to see Gwyneth Paltrow back as Pepper Potts, even if it is just for a moment - hopefully, it's a good sign for the prospect of Iron Man 4.
Without a doubt one of the best Spider-Man films, we have more to look forward to now that Spidey is part of The Avengers. It's a film that showcases Peter Parker in a young and ambitious role within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
"Spider-Man: Homecoming" is rated PG-13 for action, violence, a couple of mildly suggestive references, and a TON of Easter eggs. But it's infinitely more thrilling and involving than the major CGI spectacles that we've become accustomed to.
The film claimed this weekend's worldwide box office with $72.3 million, having taken in $261 million overseas, racking up more than $469 million in overall totals since its release earlier this month. Driven by the most basic of all human urges; to care for his kin, Keaton's Vulture isn't a man who's evil incarnate - he has a code of ethics, but a short fuse for anyone who interferes with his business, or his family.
"The greatest thing about working on a Spider-Man game is that you're working on a Spider-Man game", claims Jon Paquette, Lead Writer of the upcoming title.
