Details regarding Ben Affleck's new romance

The 45-year-old actor has known SN producer Lindsay Shookus for many years- but there's debate as to when they started

Ben Affleck dating SNL producer Lindsay Shookus - report

Since they separated in 2015 after 10 years of marriage, Garner and Affleck have made cooperative co-parenting a priority for their three kids - Violet, 11, Seraphina, 8, and Samuel, 5.

Now that Ben Affleck has gone public with his new girlfriend Lindsay Shookus, interest in her has, of course, increased.

The 44-year-old actor who recently starred as superhero, Batman in the rebooted movie franchise, has been spotted on a series of romantic dates with the Saturday Night Live producer, but it has not been easy for his ex Jennifer as it has been rumoured he had a secret affair with Lindsay when the couple were still married. "Ben just can't be alone", the source added.

As for Shookus, the facts available on her public profile are limited but she is an Emmy victor (and five-time nominee) for her work as a Saturday Night Live producer and also was an associate producer on 30 Rock.

Neither Affleck nor Shookus has confirmed their relationship, but HuffPost has reached out to Affleck's representatives for more information and will update this post accordingly.

Another insider said that Garner couldn't care less about Affleck's budding relationship with Shookus.

Plus, Ben's new romance comes only months after Jen officially filed for divorce after splitting in June 2015. Nothing is new for her here. "She just wants to protect and spend time with the kids". Since their divorce happened in 2014, this could mean that Affleck and Shookus already knew each other at the time.

"It's more than a summer fling", a source told E! Fans are anxious about Garner, and fortunately, she is willing to be open about the entire situation.

Ben and Lindsay are "in the early stages" of the relationship and are enjoying their time together. "We go forward with love and friendship for one another and a commitment to co-parenting our children whose privacy we ask to be respected during this hard time", they said.
