Jose Mourinho accused of tax fraud in Spain

Perez - who is reportedly dealing with an unhappy Cristiano Ronaldo amid tax claims in Spain - was asked about Madrid's interest in Mbappe and he admitted the LaLiga champions are following the 18-year-old.

"I still haven't spoken to Cristiano Ronaldo".

"All I can say is that Cristiano Ronaldo has a contract with Madrid". I know Cristiano and he is a good guy, both as a professional and a person.

"I have not talked with him yet, but I will talk with him in the upcoming days". I don't see anybody in world football who can substitute for him.

Spanish prosecutors have filed a lawsuit against the player accusing him of defrauding tax authorities of 14.7 million euros ($16.5 million) by hiding his image rights income between 2011 and 2014.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez played down the possibility of a move for Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea and said no bids have been received for Alvaro Morata or James Rodriguez.

Perez further insisted that Ronaldo, who has a release clause of £1 billion, is at "ease" in Real Madrid. "Working assumption is that he will stay in Madrid".

Perez assured the fans that the Portugal worldwide would be honouring his contract with Real Madrid while insisting that he would contact the star striker only after the conclusion of Portugal's Confederations Cup campaign.

United were even believed to have pencilled in a medical for the 24-year-old in the week prior to his wedding in Venice, but it now appears that United still have a lot of negotiating to do.

However, a glum-looking Ronaldo did do a short post-match interview with FIFA's in-house media. "We will continue to think about these issues".

"We are embarking on a new term after having experienced one of the best seasons in our history".

"We do not have to sound the alarm".

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has avoided commenting on speculation that Cristiano Ronaldo wants to leave Spain.

The prosecutor said Ronaldo used shell company in the Virgin Islands to cheat on his taxes. In addition to this, his club teammates Alvaro Morata and James Rodriguez have been linked with a move away from Real, with the Red Devils keen on signing the 24-year-old Spain global.

"To this day, nobody has offered us anything for any player and we have not made any offer". I have a good relationship with him after working together for eight years.

"I will talk with him when the Confederations Cup has finished".

"I'm not contemplating that Cristiano will leave". Right now he is a Madrid player.
