Mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission and powering all four wheels, the engine propels the R8 Spyder V10 Plus to 62 miles per hour from rest in 3.3 seconds. Meanwhile maximum speed increases by 10km/h to a very breezy 328km/h.
Now, the Audi R8 V10 Spyder Plus is here to be your drop-top rocketship.
Otherwise, the R8 V10 Spyder Plus is nearly exactly the same as the coupe it's based on, save for this shade of "Micrommata" green paint, which is exclusive to this model.
The 602bhp R8 V10 Plus Spyder looks absolutely stunning. The 5.2 litre naturally-aspirated V10 here produces 610 hp and 560 Nm of torque, sent to all four wheels via a seven-speed S tronic transmission and quattro permanent all-wheel drive system. The faster R8 droptop comes with a carbon-fibre front splitter, rear diffuser, side intake cover and subtle boot lip - that can be optioned to be colour coded.
Pricing and Australian availability is yet to be confirmed, but the first R8 V10 plus Spyder deliveries will start in Europe later this year with pricing set at €207,500 ($A305,000).
