"I was not expecting that at all it is kinda insane but kinda fun".

Homeowners in the American state of Colorado were surprised to come home and discover that their kitchen had been trashed.

It happened in an East Vail neighborhood on May 31. Once in the home, the Vail police suspected the intruder was an animal and asked to review surveillance footage.

The officer who went to check it out found some minor damage in the unit and noted that food had been taken been taken from the freezer. Officials believe the bear entered the home through an unlatched kitchen window that the bear pushed open. The condo's internal security cameras showed the bear roaming around the room and playing a few dissonant notes on the piano.

Later, the homeowner checked her home camera system, and realized she'd captured a rare "piano bear" on video.

"The first part of the video you can just see the bear claw and kind of see his snout. All the sudden he jumped over the railing and you can see the whole bear jumped up on the piano, pretty shocking".

Hawley says the calls from media have been nonstop since the video was released.
