Tye Dillinger on the other hand just came from NXT and is a happy mid-card babyface. With Erick Rowan ranting about a family that doesn't exist and Harper betraying that family? It's also reasonable to think Zayn and Corbin could go longer than what I have listed.
Because the main event match is so weak, I think WWE could be creating a disastrous ending to the show if they close it out with Rowan and then Mahal. For the most part, the WWE odds for PPV events can give an indication of who the big winners will be in each of the matches. For this particular PPV I think Segment 6 should go to either Nakamura or Styles, because those are babyfaces that the fans can get truly excited about that are worthy of closing out a card. It will be the team known as "The Welcoming Committee" featuring Tamina, Natalya, and Carmella, taking on the new alliance of Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, and WWE SmackDown Women's champ Naomi.
It's been a while since a match truly made us question who could win.
"I think that the problem Rip [Rogers] and Randy [Orton] have is what the young guys think they need to do to get noticed". It won't make sense from a storyline point of view if the babyfaces win this time.
Silverstein also said Styles would have to lose against Owens so he could face Orton later this year. Mahal's sudden change from jobber to a championship contender is hard to take seriously and should make him vulnerable to being placed outside of the main event. In the case of Charlotte, I feel there is enough material there for a lengthy pre-match video package, which hurts her case. Meanwhile, "The Viper" continues to hold the role of the favorite to win and walk out of Sunday's WWE Backlash still the champion.
The best finish of Sunday's tag team title bout sees Jimmy and Jey end an action-packed match by pinning Breeze after an underhanded tactic like a double-team move or low blow and their trademark top rope splash. Breezango were booked as jobbers a few weeks ago, but now they are fighting for the belts. Due to that, I feel that The Usos are winning this match comfortably. It's highly doubtful that WWE will take the title off Randy Orton at this point, especially since he's rumored to be feuding with AJ Styles going into the summer.
The event will show Jinder Mahal in his first ever opportunity at the WWE Championship against Randy Orton.
