Xiaomi Mi Max 2 launched confirmed for May 25. The details if Xiaomi Mi Max 2 release date, specifications, and price are as fallows. Going by the poster, the Mi Max 2's launch will be graced by the presence of Lei Jun, the Xiaomi CEO and other top executives of the company including Luo Zhenyu, Ma Dong, Ge Ke, Chen Rui and the famous China-based girls' band called Shanghai 48 aka SNH48.
The phone will likely not be sold officially anywhere in the United States, or Europe, but phone geeks would still find it worth knowing about its existence.
Another variant of Max 2 featuring a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset and 6GB RAM might launch as well. Xiaomi ditched the 3.5mm headphone jack for its latest flagship, Xiaomi Mi 6 and the phone bundled without earphones. Like the Mi Max, the successor model will also have a metal unibody design and a fingerprint scanner placed at the back. The standard version will be powered by Snapdragon 626 processor, in contradictory to the earlier rumour which hinted towards the use of Snapdragon 625 SoC. It comes in 64GB/128GB inbuilt storage options, which can be expanded. It won't come to the Europe or the USA but still it would have significant place in other markets.
A successor to last year's Mi Max, the new phablet is a much more powerful device, boasting specs found on more expensive brands.
Now the official Mi Max 2 page is enabled on the company website waiting to show all device specifications. The smartphone is rumoured to cost around 1,499 Yuan (approximately Rs 14,013), while the premium variant will come equipped with Snapdragon 660 processor and said to be priced at 1,699 Yuan (approximately Rs 15,883). There are also reports of a 16MP sensor instead of the 12MP one. The smartphone will run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system which will be wrapped under MIUI and will be backed up by a 5,000mAh battery.
Mi Max can house dual SIM where it accepts Micro-SIM and Nano-SIM. The Mi Max 2 also packs a bunch of sensors including accelerometer, barometer, compass, gyroscope, pedometer, proximity, and light sensor.
