In 2008, the House voted to hold White House Chief of Staff Josh Bolten and former White House counsel Harriet Miers in contempt over their refusal to cooperate with an investigation into the mass firings of US attorneys by the administration of George W. Bush.

Flynn Intel was paid only $530,000 for the work, which ended in November after Trump's election victory.
