The Japanese automaker has officially announced it's gearing up for the introduction of the second-generation leaf fully electric compact, releasing the first teaser image that has us all exciting and geared up for the official introduction.
Speaking of the headlights, the first teaser image for the new campaign appears to be of the vehicle's headlights - with the mention "The new #Nissan #LEAF". They do say that the teaser image is part of a 'series of photos and informational briefs scheduled this summer in preparation for the global reveal of the new Nissan LEAF later this year'. When the future Leaf arrives next year, it will lead Nissan's charge to grow EVs to represent 20% of its sales by 2020.
Nissan's CEO Carlos Ghosn has suggested that the new LEAF could feature Nissan's ProPilot, an autonomous driving system which is considerably more advanced than the semi-autonomous aids available in some current Nissans like the Qashqai.
