Starbucks barista has meltdown over Unicorn Frappuccino

This week Starbucks released its new Unicorn Frappuccino Blended Crème drink.

And many got the drink but didn't like it after all. Or I would have headed home, had the wife not texted be and asked if I wanted to try Starbucks' new Unicorn Frappuccino.

He was, by far, not the only Starbucks employee to complain about the unicorn-themed drinks on Twitter.

The vibrant frap's ingredients include sweet pink powder, mango syrup and a sour blue drizzle - and it's topped with whipped cream and sweet pink and sour blue powder. I would argue it looks better than Starbucks' odd, artificial-looking drink. Upon stirring, this drink will begin to change color from purple to a vibrant pink.

Starbucks' Unicorn Frappuccino looks like the dreamer's delight.

Baristas at Tacoma's newest Starbucks in the Stadium District said the drink has been popular but hasn't been hard to make.

The craze should last until the drink's promotional period is over, this Sunday, but the magic of the unicorn trend certainly isn't dead yet.

Burson said he hadn't heard from the company as of midday Thursday.

I am a Starbucks customer and appreciate they now offer coconut and almond milk to their latte choices and the drive thru in times of desperation. "So, it makes me wonder if they weren't thinking about unicorns as like sunshine and rainbows, but as scary mythical creatures that might stab you with their horn".

"I have never made so many Frappuccinos in my entire life", Burson said on the video. The meme compares the Unicorn Frappuccino to a regular size Snickers candy bar and says for the sugar price of a Unicorn Frappuccino, you could actually eat three Snickers candy bars.

"It's a great drink", he told the AP. "I need to rant just a little". According to Starbucks' website, a grande Unicorn Frappuccino has 410 calories and 59 grams of sugar.
