Patriots to visit White House Wednesday

Quarterback Tom Brady, a friend of the president, pulled out of the trip last minute, citing family reasons.

Though numerous Super Bowl champions also skipped the White House visit in past years (including Brady, who was not in attendance in 2015), the Patriots' earlier connections to Trump meant particular scrutiny this time around.

The Patriots visited the White House on Wednesday, an event that generated plenty of photos.

One player made an impromptu appearance at a White House press before the official ceremony.

"I think I got this, but thank you. That's the beauty of what they do, they win as a team", said Trump, who compared the team's 25-point comeback against the Atlanta Falcons in February to his own political upset. ADMINISTRATION Trump's choice for deputy secretary of commerce, Chicago Cubs baseball team co-owner Todd Ricketts, has withdrawn his nomination, a source says, amid reports of difficulties untangling his financial holdings to the satisfaction of the government ethics watchdog. Brady played the family card, for instance, while Danny Amendola-whose absence was highlighted when Trump asked him to step forward and raise a hand, only to be met by awkward silence-said he had a funeral to attend. This year, there were seated on the South Lawn. Others include the owners of the Houston Texans, the Washington Redskins, the Jacksonville Jaguars and the LA Rams. Kraft gave the money via his Kraft Group LLC.

Defensive back Devin McCourty told Time Magazine that "I don't feel accepted in the White House".

While that is likely the main reason Brady did not make the trip to the White House, his wife presented another theory with a Wednesday tweet that she has since deleted.
