The show hasn't officially been picked up to series yet by SyFy as Krypton now has a pilot order.
Newcomer Cameron Cuffe will take point as the Man of Steel's old, old man, headlining a cast comprised of Georgina Campbell (Lyta Zod), Ian McElhinney (Val-El), Elliot Cowan (Daron-Vex), Ann Ogbomo (Alura Zod), Rasmus Hardiker (Kem), Wallis Day (Nyssa-Vex) and, finally, Aaron Pierre as Dev-Em.
"The House of El led a revolution against tyranny", Seg-El continues.
We seem to have, rather accidentally, gotten the first footage of the Syfy series Krypton, a Superman prequel series from David S. Goyer. In the pilot, Seg-El is living in the planet's lowest caste as he fights to redeem his family's honor and save his planet from chaos.
Chances are good that the trailer will be removed from the Internet sooner rather than later, unless Syfy gives it an official release, but for now, check it out... it looks a lot cooler than expected, doesn't it?
Colm McCarthy (Sherlock) helmed the pilot episode with a script from Goyer and Ian Goldberg. He also talks about some kind of rebellion that the House Of El attempts to pull, but it's unclear if that happens in Seg-El's future or if it has already failed and that's why he's a grubby street rat in the first place. However, Syfy's upcoming Krypton TV series starts much, much earlier than that.
Krypton doesn't now have a confirmed premiere date, but it is expected later in 2017.
