There are a couple of reasons given for this abrupt turnaround.

Microsoft's Surface Book is definitely one of the most unique looking Windows machine out there in the market. Secondly, the current Surface Book range's premium price tag had reportedly limited demand from consumers. Microsoft, which has always delivered affordable products to its customers, might want to change that with the new Surface Book 2.

Along with the hardware, Microsoft Surface Book 2 appears to be updated with new Windows 10 software.

We have been waiting for the Surface Book 2 ever since Microsoft announced the upgraded version of the original Surface Book.

Fans are eagerly anticipating the release of Microsoft Surface Phone which will be powered by Snapdragon 835 CPU with a 5.7-inch screen display according to a report by Trusted Reviews. Even its chassis is likely going to be composed of the same magnesium-aluminum alloy.

According to BGR, Microsoft Company is planning to announce the new Microsoft Surface Book 2 at the end of March or April.

The report also says that this new Surface Book will start selling for around $1000, far less than the original's $1500 MSRP at launch.

Microsoft released a mild Surface Book update a few months ago, during a press event whose star was the Surface Studio all-in-one desktop. The sources believe the move is meant to help Microsoft clear its inventory to welcome the new product's arrival. You can take care of those things with a single swipe of your credit card when you shop at the Microsoft Store this month. It is ultrathin at 7.4 mm and includes an S pen and keyboard, the Surface Book still requires the user to buy a separately sold keyboard. Instead of the 2-in-1 form factor, the device will now have a standard clamshell build.

The Book One is a 2-in-1 Windows-powered laptop with a detachable display for tablet mode.

William Shakespeare once wrote: To be or not to be, that is the question. When MSFT refreshed the device in late 2016, it was not the Surface Book 2 some had hoped for, but a spec bump with a slight tweaking on that hinge.
