Olivier Giroud says Arsenal's players want Arsene Wenger 'adventure' to continue

Wenger won't tell protesting fans decision on Arsenal future

Olivier Giroud says Arsenal's players want Arsene Wenger 'adventure' to continue

As you've probably heard by now, Arsene Wenger might or might not be on the cusp of leaving Arsenal.

Wenger, who retains the support of most players, has agreed a two-year contract extension, but the Frenchman has not signed the deal.

However the reports detailing Wenger's intention to stay denied such an approach has been made.

But despite that pro-Wenger message, the majority of Arsenal fans will be outraged if he is still their manager come the start of next season.

Wenger, speaking after his team's comprehensive 3-1 defeat at West Bromwich Albion, suggested that he knew his decision on his future and would announce it "very soon", and he went on to stress that this would be a decision based not on where Arsenal finish in the Premier League standings.

France striker Giroud, who has joined up with his worldwide team-mates ahead of games against Luxembourg and Spain, wants Arsenal to win the cup and persevere on with Wenger in charge. That will be put to the test if and when Wenger does tell them that he's not quite done at the club yet.

Wenger said on the weekend: "It will not necessarily be linked with that [Champions League qualification] because I've done the top four 20 times".

A second plane was also hired to encourage trust in Wenger, but it all represents an undignified conclusion to the season.

"Everybody in life is responsible for his own behaviour".

"I think Arsenal are a long way off turning this around and being a force next season, I just don't see it at all". 'That means that they know, ' Wenger said tersely. "It's more, it's not that", said the Arsenal boss, according to ESPN FC.
