The same was also said by Japanese blogger Mac Otakara who anticipates that the new iPad Pro models will be unveiled at the said event.
In short, the lineup consists of the 12.9-inch iPad Pro 2, the 9.7-inch iPad Pro 2, the iPad mini Pro, and the 10.5-incher.
The updated 9.7 inch iPad Pro is rumored to come with the new Apple A10X processor and also more RAM than the current model. Seeing as that the iPhone 7 was equipped with the A10 Fusion chip, an A10X on the next iPad Pro model would make a lot of sense. However, seeing as that Apple may already have the capacity to mass produce the next 9.7-inch iPad Pro 2, the company may be launching the device sooner rather than later. This means prices will start at £599 for the iPhone 7 and £719 for the iPhone 7 Plus. According to a Greek retailer, that fourth one is actually a new iPad mini.
Apple similarly issued a press release when it dropped the price of the fourth-generation iPad to $399 in March 2014. It's about time for the mini to get updated or to shuffle off this mortal coil; my money's on the first option, since there have been some rumors floated about a 7.9-inch iPad Pro.
As for the features on the new range of iPad Pro, the 10.5-inch model is expected to have a footprint similar to the 9.7-inch variant, and the slimmer bezels could account for that. Reports have it that the company will unveil new iPads at Steve Jobs Theater next month. If rumors are to be believed about the upcoming device, the 10.5-inch iPad Pro would also mirror several design cues that would be found in the upcoming iPhone 8/iPhone Edition, which is speculated for release sometime this September, according to MacRumors. This design could foreshadow the rumored 5.8-inch iPhone.
Additionally, the introduction of quad microphones is suggested. The 9.7-inch and 12.9-inch versions will also be upgraded. It's here where Apple could launch new Apple Watch bands for spring. That happened years ago, specifically Q4 2013; Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) sold 26 million tablets that quarter, and unit sales have trended lower ever since. Ironically enough, the current model was launched on March 31st of previous year, after being unveiled on stage at the company's spring event on March 21, 2016.
Amazingly, this implementation has a historical data where Apple reserves the X series chips for its iPads.
Of course, the event could be later.
Apple's plan to host an event later this month could likely fall between Monday, March 27 and Friday, March 31, given the ten days buffer for inviting the media.Unfortunately, no devices were named by the company, but everyone is expecting it to be the iPad Pro 2.
